As a child, Absinthe was sweet and mild. Compared to his elder brothers, Absinthe was a total angel. It was the pressure from the God that is his father to be a perfect son that started his downfall into the arrogant, cruel creature he would become.
Deep down though, there is still that sweetness and gentle nature. But you'd have to dig long and hard to uncover it.
